1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using LeafLens ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of service
LeafLens is an Android application that uses artificial intelligence to analyse photos of plants and provide information about potential diseases, pests, and care recommendations. The service is provided "as is" for informational purposes only.
3. Important disclaimer — not professional advice
LeafLens is not a substitute for professional horticultural or agricultural advice. AI-generated diagnoses are informational only and may not be accurate. Always consult a qualified expert for critical plant health decisions, especially for commercial crops or valuable specimens. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any diagnosis or recommendation provided by the App.
4. User accounts
You may use the App as a guest (with limited features) or create an account by signing in with Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must not share your account credentials with others.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the App's source code
- Use automated means to access the App or circumvent usage limits
- Upload content that is offensive, illegal, or violates any third-party rights
- Attempt to circumvent subscription or scan limits through technical means
6. Subscriptions and payments
LeafLens Pro is available as a monthly subscription (₹199/month), yearly subscription (₹1,399/year), or lifetime purchase (₹2,499). Payments are processed by Google Play. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Google Play account settings. We do not offer refunds outside of Google Play's standard refund policy.
7. Free tier
Free users receive 5 AI diagnoses per month. Guest users receive 3 diagnoses per month. These limits reset on the first day of each calendar month. We reserve the right to modify free tier limits with reasonable notice.
8. Intellectual property
The App, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Yadnyesh Rana and protected by copyright law. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
9. User content
You retain ownership of photos you submit to the App. By submitting photos, you grant us a limited licence to process them through AI services for the purpose of providing plant diagnosis. We do not claim ownership of your photos.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yadnyesh Rana shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to crop loss, plant death, or financial loss arising from reliance on AI-generated advice.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account in the App.
12. Changes to terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.
